Is a photography blog. Mont Saint-Michel is an island situated just off the Normandy coast in northwest France. It has been much of a draw to spiritual people over the centuries because it appears to be in a constant state of “being seen through.” Its fame is due in great part to its magnificent location at the end of a deep bay, the tidal estuary of the Couesnon River. This called it “the Mickey Mouse of the Normandy coast.”

Today it is a UNESCO world heritage site and a popular tourist destination. It is often referred to as a “rock cathedral.”
